I LOVE to bake and cook. I am a mom of 3 little girls the youngest of whom has a severe milk protein allergy. I searched the web in my down time for weeks on end trying to find dairy-free recipies that were kid friendly, budget friendly, easy to prep, ect. So I created this blog to help others in the same situation!

Home-made chicken noodle soup
Start by boiling 3-4 chicken breasts for 20 min. While that's going add about 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil in the bottom of your soup pot. Chop and add about 2 cups each onion, celery, and carrots. Add 1 clove minced garlic to your oil and add the veggies. Cook till tender. Then add 4 cups of water and 4 cans Kroger brand chicken broth (most other brands contain dairy so check yours). Bring to a boil and cook your noodles in the soup. I prefer egg noodles but any will work. Shred your chicken when it's done and add it to the soup. Then salt and pepper to taste and a dash of Ginger not only for flavor but it's really good to help anyone not feeling well to get better! Next, enjoy!!

Polska Kielbasa
Need:
- 1 package Hillshire Farm Light Polska Kielbasa
- 1 1/2 cups carrots
- 1 small to medium sized onion
- 1 1/2 cups celery
- About 1/8 to 1/4 cup of soy sauce
- 1 cup broccali
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 or 2 baby bok choy or 1/4 to 1/2 cabbage
Cut Kielbasa into bite sized pieces and add to a large sauce pan over medium to medium high heat. Stir occasionaly until it starts to brown. then remove from pan and set aside.
While Kielbasa is cooking chop remaining veggies into bite sized pieces and mince garlic. After Kielbasa is removed from pan, add garlic, onions, carrots, celery, salt, pepper and soy sauce. Stir every min or two. Then after several min of cooking add the broccali and bok choy. Cook to desired tenderness, then add the kielbasa back into the pan and serve!
This is great by as is or over rice! Feel free to add your own favorite stir-fry veggies and make it your own! I prefer to use the light Kielbasa so the meal doesnt sit heavy afterwards. My kids will actualy eat all the meat before the veggies which is a miracle in this house ;-)

Yummy, easy homemade bread

It's the easiest bread I have ever made! I used vanilla soy milk instead of almond milk.
Pumpkin cookies
- 1 Cup of butter flavored crisco
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs or equivalent substitute
- 1 teaspoon vanillia extract
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (or 1 small can)
- 3 cups flour (i use all purpose)
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

So I found the source of Aubree's recent flare up's... Grandma Sycamores White bread changed their formulation and it now contains milk! Which is a total bummer because its the only brand I could find that didn't. So looks like i will be searching the web for a recipie until I can find a new brand ;-)
Thought I would post some quick fix meals for the days when you don't have the time or energy to cook!
- Delimex Brand Beef Taquitos-heat and serve!
- Van de Kamps Brand Fish sticks and Orida Brand Tater Tots - doesn't get much more kid friendly than that!
- Mission Brand Tortillas - TONS of possabilities here! Tacos, burrietos, tostadas, enchaladas, ect. They also make great sandwich wraps!

Easy breakfast!
To make this Dairy-Free I used:
Orida Brand Hash Browns - cooked according to the package directions
Kirkland Brand Pre-cooked Bacon - I just heat it up and crisp it on a pan on the stove. Its super fast because its pre-cooked and it has less fat this way as the end result.
Bisquick Brand Original Pancake Mix - You can either sub the milk it calls for with soy-milk or water (which I do) and if whomever can tolerate eggs use the egg, if not it still cooks just fine with out and then add the oil! SO easy and tastes really good!!
